3 Reasons To Take a Road Trip

(1)  To get away from everything for awhile.

(2)  To ride and enjoy the main roads or the back roads .

(3)  To find places (little gems I call them) that you never knew existed.

My brother and I like long road trips as well as day trips .  The former may last for days while day trips are road trips that one can do in a day and be back home by nighttime.

The bad thing about really long road trips is that you almost always end up on the interstate.

I grew up with lots of roadtrips that were just let's go for a drive. Since I live where everything is 25 miles or more away, my enjoyment in just driving to drive has faded. I'd love though a trip where I just set out with no plan for where I was going to end up. Amazing I'd say that given I am just back from a very long drive but it was not about serendipity

My feelings might be influenced by just having listened to Springsteen's Thunder Road as loud as it can go...
