States And Illegal Immigration

We have a major problem in our country with illegal immigration. The federal government seems to be very lax in dealing with the issue.  President George W. Bush's attitude towards it seems to be wishy washy too. So now some states are passing their own laws to address what is becoming a calamity for the country. I have no problem with legal immigrants, but illegals are another matter. I don't care whether they come from either be it Mexico , Ireland or China e.g. - they are here illegally and if we sanction their breaking the law(as some Americans do) what does that say about us ? Thirdwavedave has an informative post about illegal immigration entitled "News Stories You Won't Be Seeing In The MSM." Please do read it.

I don't think the problem is politics (on an organized level). So I don't think there is a political solution. People are desperate and there are thousands of corrupt legal citizens who pay wages under the table. Wages that keep the illegals on a sustenance cycle. When employers put ethics ahead of accounts the situations will change.

The immigration laws should be enforced and employers who use illegal alien labor need to be prosecuted!

I saw this on the internet:

BUSH, WETBACKS HELP WATER SHORTAGE

There is a water shortage in the southwest, but Pres. Bush has been helping the situation with his surplus of wetbacks!

Thanks for the linkage, Paul. Take care, brother.
