(1) This Crazy World of Chess (Larry Evans) - A good book for people who are interested in more than just the great chess games of the great Masters. Grand Master Evans' books never fail to please the reader.

(2)  The Essentials of Haiku (Robert Haas) - This is a good book that showcases the work of three great Japanese haikuists : Matsuo Basho, Yosa Buson and Kobayashi Issa. In the world of haiku these men are giants of the genre. If you want to read traditional haiku of a high order then do read this book. Robert Haas is a noted poet in his own right.
