Of late there has been a buzz in the media about Caroline Kennedy wanting to be named to replace Hilary Clinton as a United States Senator from New York. Predictably a lot of folks are lining up in her support. She is after all a Kennedy. However, I want to say that I think that there are other ( qualified ) candidates in the Empire State. Ms Kennedy has never held public office of any sort, but she says that she is ready to be the junior Senator from New York. I doubt that she is at this point in time. Why not wait 2 years and then run in the general election. Being a Kennedy does not mean that you are ready for a political office to be handed to you !!

My guess is she is being aimed at the Democratic party's hopes for a 'sarah palin' to run for president when Obama is through. Lack of experience only matters when it's the other party's *s*

I have to agree with Rain.

She is just as qualified as Hillary was. She used to live in the White House and later moved to New York.

She (CK) lived in the White House as a small chil. HC lived there as an adult and was privy to the inner workings of the White House. That is quite a difference !
