I love flowers and the Rose is my favorite flower. Generally flowers are associated with joyous occasions and I suppose that is a large part of their appeal. At least it is for me. Here is a bit of flower trivia for you.
(1) Tulip bulbs can be substituted for onions in cooking.
(2) 60 % of all US-grown fresh cut flowers come from California.
(3) Supposedly throwing rose leaves into a flame will bring you good luck.


I shall try #3, just to see if that is right. I could use a little good luck. :)

That's it we need to put a 50% tax on flower exports to other states. That will solve our budget crisis.

Aliums is aliums, I'd use more garlic if I ran out of onions, unless it's for hot dogs or maybe a burger.
