Tonight at the Columbia Chess Club

Tonight we began the Ashland XII tournamnet which is one game per week for five consecutive weeks. I played Ralph Buske who is rated 242 points higher than me. Ralph is a good , solid player and I was fortunate enough to get a draw especially since he was a pawn up. We have similar styles which may have lead to a rather quick draw. It felt good to play again after a brief hiatus due to heath reasons. Chess still rewards me after about 40 years of playing it.
