I believe that Thanksgiving is the most American of holidays. And we Americans have so much to be thankful for in our personal lives and our collective history. No other people enjoy the freedoms that we enjoy or the prosperity (even with the current bad economy) that has blessed our 233 years of existence. Thanksgiving is the one time when thoughts of our families are paramount and we take the time to examine what a family really is and what it means to us. Some of my fondest memories are of my mother and how she loved to cook a big Thanksgiving meal and see her children and any neighbor who was found to be found alone enjoying the food and the festivities. To my mother Thanksgiving was a very spiritual time - a time to take stock of our lives. My wish for you all is that you have a wonderful and happy Thanksgiving and may God bless you.
Donald Trump has ten tips on his blog, Trump Blog , for success . Three of the first four that le lists are : be focused, be tenacious, trust your instincts. The fourth tip for success according to The Donald (and in my opinion the most important one) is BELIEVE IN YOURSELF ! Even Job had people wanting to put him down and in this world a lot of people are (sadly) sheep. They have little courage and even less talent, much less the will, to succeed. They want to bring you down to their level-misery loves company. I won't sugar coat it. To succeed in anything you have to believe in yourself and have the intestinal fortitude to plunge on into the unknown. In recent years we have become a nation who, in a lot of instances, wants the government or some know-it-all guru to tell us what to do. If you don't believe me look around. It was individual initiative that propelled our nation to greatness and now countries like India and China are beating us at our own game. I hear a lot of whinning and pessimism around me. Take it somewhere else, because I am not buying it thank you. The Donald has the right idea !
