Just a Thought (Obama)

Is it just me or does President Obama think that anything is possible as long as we Americans pay for it ? Now perhaps I am being too hard on the man, but I voted for him and I can criticize him as much as I please. (I shall praise him when he deserves it too) After all it is we, the American people, who ultimately pay for everything that our elected officials do while they are in office. We pay in the form of taxes. My point is that you cannot continue to expect the golden goose - aka the "hoi polloi" (you and I) to keep laying those golden eggs especially when we are worn out. At some point there is too much red ink and it overwhelms everything. President Obama has just passed his first year in office. I advise him to rethink some of his priorities and deal with the econmy post haste ! That is the biggest issue that he faces and the one that most concerns the American people.

At least with his programs, the American people have a chance to get something for themselves. When it was Bush and Republicans, it's all been for ceertain big corporations and the richest. Now whether Obama will end up like that also, well we don't know yet but things like health care are something all Americans should be wanting and frankly-- single payer. Our medical distribution system is unfair, rewarding the richest with good care and the rest lucky if they get any. Insurance companies have made the most money of anyone and for what? For health care? no, for managing fear. Fear seems to me the tactic of the right; so for now, anything is better than the alternative that Republicans are offering.

Be prepared for higher taxes but they have a lot right that we don't, like gay marriage, like health care for everyone. They are not crime free though as you'd know if you read their papers in places like Vancouver. They do though have gun control. Some would say they are socialists. Some would say that's not bad :) I think a lot of their social positions make more sense than ours but they don't claim to be a Christian nation either.
