(Q) What was the biggest disappointment that you experienced during your high school years ? Mine was that we moved so much while I was in high school and I never felt like I belonged in any one place.

my parents sale of the farm where I grew up and loved so much. It was at the end of a dead-end road and wilderness behind it. I think I have always looked for something like it and never found it. I used to dream I bought it until I went back one time and the 80 acres had been divided into housing and the house remodeled. I asked the owners if I could have a rock from the fallen down rock wall and haven't driven back there since.

I do not know. My parents divorced while I was in high school and while it was very tough on my father and my brother and I, it was for the best in the long run. I have some things from high school that I wish I would have done differently, but as for disappointments nothing that really stands out.
Rain, you can never go back. I sometimes drive by the dairy that I lived on when I was little and it is such a different place. Well it hasn't been a dairy for about 35 years for one, but also new houses have been added to the property and other changes. My aunt and uncle used to live in a town near Sacramento that has seen huge growth in the last 20 years and I asked my uncle if he ever went back to his old house because I had such fond memories of visiting there when I was a kid. He said one time and the current owners had let weeds take over the landscaping that he had in pristine condition and he never went back.
