Human nature can be very fickle. At least it has been in my experienxe. A lot of what we actually do in our everyday lives requires little independent thought. It's part of our routine as it were and, for the most part, we get by without any unfortunate incident coming to pass.I liken it to cruise control in a car.
I recently saw a post that had a very interesting thought in it. What the gist of it was is that when a man, or woman, talks to God it's called prayer, but when that same man. or woman, says that God is talking to them it's often called madness. That sounds like a position an atheist might entertain, but non atheists have such an opinion too. Some of the people who are devotees of tarot cards, palm reading, channneling and astrology e.g. who are often labeled crackpots or weirdos will treat believeras who pray in the same manner that they are often treated. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Tolerance is the lesson here.
I believe you meant to say believers who PRAY....
