the problem with political correctness is how do you define it? How do you know it when you see it? With a divided nation, I suspect we'd think it was very different things depending on our political viewpoint.

Like a Judge said Rain-I know it when I hear it.

but you know it when you hear it through your filters. When it's someone putting down Christians with ridicule for being naive or stupid is that politically incorrect or mean and wrong? When someone tells a cruel joke about an ethnic group, PC or not? I think what James said sounds right but reality is everybody defines what is PC differently. For years I have been offended by jokes about the Poles, not because I am Polish but it just irks me as it's so stupid to ridicule a whole people like that. Used to be the Irish and I guess still is. When is something PC and when is it attacking bigotry which can be subtle but worse almost than when it's out front?

I know it when I hear it with my ears Rain. I was raised to be civil in my relations with people and to speak the truth. I try to do so.
