Transparency (Opinion)

There has been a lot of lip service given to transparency in the operation of the federal government. President Obama has talked about it a lot. Truth be told , he hasn't followed through with it in many instances. When I hear "transparency" , I think to myself-what are they trying to hide this time ? Politics, to a certain extent, is the science of mirrors and slight of hand. And let me say here that it has been used by Republicans and Democrats, to one extent or another, for many years in Washington, D.C.. However, this was a hallmark of Barack Obama's campaign promises. He repeatedly said the federal government under his guidance would be open and transparent. I question his honesty in that regard.

He is big on lip service. He has said 1000 times that jobs are his top priority, but he keeps doing things that hurt jobs or at least don't help.

theoretically unemployment is down to 8.3% but as they always say, it doesn't begin to show the true facts of people who have given up and those who are under employed just to have a job...

There are many thousands or more who aren't even trying to find a job and I understand why. They are frustrated and disheartened. A human being can only take so much Rain...
