" Inside many Liberals is a Totalitarian scraming to get out. They don't like to have another point of view in the room that they don't squash and they try to squash it by character assassinaton and name calling. " - David Horowitz, Conservative writer and former Liberal. The truth is that a true classic Liberal would not consider the Liberals of our day to be Liberals at all. Today's Liberals pretend to champion free speech yet very often want to prevent it if what is said disagrees with their "correct" opinion.

Liberals are known for criticizing the Puritans for seeking freedom and then denying it to others, but they do the same thing themselves. annoying.

I have seriously never heard so much character assassination and name calling as what comes from conservatives. Are you serious? Maybe you should listen to Fox News. As for control, both sides are into it; their point of view determines what they want to control and that's the only difference that I can see.

I don't watch Fox News, MSNBC, HLN, or any of the rest of them Margaret. They don't report news - they give their biased opinions on it. As for name calling have you ever watched Ed Schultz and Rachel Maddow perform? Talk about know-it-alls. I put Limbaugh in there too. And every time you turn the channel to one of those "news" networks they make money when you click it ! Did you know that ? I refuse to pay for lies, deception and pundits who know about as much as I do.

I value Horowitz's opinion because he has been on both sides of the argument. I think that is more true of the left. The right may not be happy with opposing view points but in Universities and State and Local government the left is actually the one that most often tries to pass rules and laws to stifle opposing view points.
