You go into a high end clothing store on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles and see a Ralph Lauren designed dress priced $700,00. You go into a WalMart store in say Housyon and purchase a similar dress priced $13.00. Do the math. What you are buying is a famous designer's name. Most of those designer gowns, dresses and accessories aren't all that much better than what you find in A WalMart or the local Goodwill Store. Most Americans cannot buy a Ralph Lauren outfit. Most don't want one either truth be told.

Actually, I have discovered that with certain clothing items, you do get what you pay for, up to a point. The difference between $20 shoes and $50 shoes is about 180ยบ in comfort and quality. The dresses I've bought at a midrange dept. store tend to last a lot longer than the ones from Walmart. However, past the midrange point, I'd have to agree with you. Makes me wonder just how much is a name worth.
