Most Obama supporters think that it will take a LONG time to "fix" things, if that is even an option. We've had two basically unfunded wars, lowered tax rates when we were spending billions on those wars, fall out(still) with the European economy, etc. So, we, as Americans, expect a quick and magic solution to all of this? I consider myself a realistic person and remember what it was like when Obama took over. The US car companies were going under, the stock market was lower(headed that way anyway) than it had been for a long time, yet it was all supposed to be OK in three years? Huh?

Paul

No Not in three hers

Margaret, how much did tax revenue go down because of those lowered tax rates? How much has spending been increased in the last 3 years? Or the last 10?
Ford was not going under. They did not take any bail out money. Honda and Kia were opening new plants in the US. Mismanagement and huge union contracts were killing those car companies.
It was Obama himself that said he would fix it in 3 years or he didn't deserve another term. Instead he has made it worse, not better.

This seems to contradict your assertion about Ford. I would have to do research to get those figures and I would try to do so on non-partisan sites. Hard to do these days and not enough people even make the effort.

Like the article says Ford did not need nor take any money. But they wanted to keep the option open in case GM and Chrysler getting money or getting out of paying union contracts that Ford atill had to abide by put them at an unfair disadvantage.

Republican or democrat throw them in a burlap sack beat them with a stick and when you pour them out its just a bloddy mess......two party systems are easy buyouts for corporations...washington is littered with sellouts doing the bidding of big money....Romney or obama in the end = the american people getting screwed...wake up america and quit voting for the two canidates corporate america gives you....time to place your faith in more worthy endeavours.

It's been quiescent here for a bit, Paul are you contemplating or fasting from the web?
