Charity

Charity is a gift that we give others who in turn give us a gift. A giving spirit makes us think of our blessings. One that God places in our hearts. To practice charity give with a good intention-never do so unless the spirit moves you. I recently witnessed a man giving a homeless man his umbrella while stopped in thhe rain. The homless man needed it more than it's owner. We should heed this example.

My Hero

My mother is my hero. She raised me and was a fantastic mother. She was courageous and protective. My "father" deserted us while I was still in her womb. Today some women don't have the courage ,or the desire , to keep their child. It's not my place to judge them - I love my mother even more. A mother is the anchor of a family. Some people disagree. Innocent children suffer as a result. With the assault on family values in our culture, the taking of unborn life is becoming easier. We live in athrowaway culture. Throw it away and I don't have to deal with it. My mother is my hero !

Installation of the New Arch Bishop Of Baltimore

My brother abd I watched the installationof the new Arch Bishop of Baltimore William Lori. It was very moving and the ceremony was beautiful in it's spiritual aspect. Arch Bishop lori is aspirit filled priest who wull be a fine shepherd in Baltimore.He helped develode the concept of no tolerance iowards pedophile priests. He derves great credit in doing so. He follows Catholic teaching in the matter of same sex "marriage. I support him fully as a Catholicmyself. The Cathedral of Mary Our Queen was majestic and the music touched my heart. Pax vobiscum.
